I find this piece very moving. But would it be more moving in the right architectural setting? Meaning in a Gothic, stone-cold church with great acoustics? I can only imagine...
What does this say about architecture and music? Maybe that's not what you're going for in this post because you titled it spirituality... I believe architecture and spirituality are closely tied together. When you look at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome or Notre Dame in Paris, the architecture has an immediate affect on the spirituality of the place. (Too bad they're full of noisy tourists that ruin it... )
